Discover, Explore and Enjoy Scotland
We love being in the countryside in Scotland. The sheer beauty of our place never ceases to amaze us, especially during that soft morning and evening light.
Here there are a few pictures of our holiday cottage as well as nature and wildlife pictures of Glen Esk (or Glenesk), in the highlands, at the foot of the Cairngorms National Park, often considered as one of the most beautiful glens in Angus, Scotland. Glen Esk is a glen in the Braes of Angus, it occupies the valley of the River North Esk. At almost 15 miles long, Glen Esk is the longest of the Angus Glens and is still a flourishing community, with nostalgic historic properties all the way up the glen. The magnificent ruins of Invermark Castle guard the way to Loch Lee, the beautiful stretch of water at the head of the glen.
The village of Edzell lies at the mouth of the glen.
So come and join us in Glenesk!
